Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Medicaid Plan Changes: Your Family Is Covered for Care at Nationwide Children's Hospital

All Ohio families eligible for Medicaid can now choose a Medicaid plan without having to worry that Nationwide Children’s Hospital could potentially be out of network.

After a long period of negotiation, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Ohio have reached an agreement that places the hospital in network with Anthem’s Medicaid plan. Nationwide Children’s had continued to serve children covered by the plan, but this new agreement ensures that children who need critical care can receive it with us, without needing to travel.

Nationwide Children’s is now in network with all seven of Ohio’s Medicaid managed care plans. Our hospital is dedicated to providing care for every child who needs it, and this new agreement helps us achieve that.
