It’s Marathon Weekend – Go Team Benjamin!

Ok everyone…it’s a cloudy, Friday morning in Columbus, Ohio but get ready to be inspired!  Meet seven year-old Benjamin Cox and his amazing dad, Matt.  Together, they are Team Benjamin and will be participating in this weekend’s Columbus Marathon.  Dad will push Ben for the entire 26.2 mile race to raise money and awareness for Nationwide Children’s Hospital and United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland.

You have to watch Ben’s amazing story as he’s worked so hard to overcome the challenges of Cerebral Palsy; achieving milestones such as holding a cup, pointing his finger and most importantly, taking his first steps. (http://www.teambenjamin.org/columbus-marathon/)

Ben and Matt will be joined by more than 20 other members of “Team Benjamin” all running together and raising money.

If you’re participating in the Marathon events this weekend be sure to cheer on Ben, Matt and the entire team. Everyone can also help by clicking here to make a gift in support of Team Benjamin.  It will brighten your day!

Have a great weekend and go Marathoners!!

PS – I’ll be out as a volunteer biker on the course this weekend so I’ll post some pictures next week.  Let me know if you’ll be running and I’ll keep an eye out for you!!
