How are they doing? The children of our Every Gift Matters holiday campaign

Last year we introduced you to many special children who would be spending the holiday season at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Each of these children had a special story to tell and so many of you wrote to tell us how moved you were by their stories. You also gave from your hearts and more than $1 million was raised last holiday season to help fund cures and care for our patients.

Now, one year later, many of you have asked for updates. How are these children doing? I’m happy to report that although all our “Every Gift Matters” patients are still receiving outpatient care every child is doing well and currently out of the hospital (and we hope that continues through the holiday season).

Just a few weeks ago, we shared the story of Hunter Miller’s homecoming after more than 13 months in the hospital. Over the next posts, we’ll provide behind the scenes updates on some of these specific children.

Today I wanted to introduce you to a new face in our campaign this year. Cayson will be spending his first Christmas in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Born three months too soon and being cared for far from home, Cayson reminds us why every gift matters this holiday season.
