Meet The Angels of the Angel Mile

Mile #12 – Dedicated to the children who have finished their race.

Parents joining together to honor the memory of their very special children and raise funds for pediatric hospice at Nationwide Children’s.

At Nationwide Children’s Hospital, true miracles happen every day. Lives are saved, families are comforted, diseases are fought. But sometimes, a child’s journey ends earlier than others.

When we were planning for our 26 Miracle Mile Champions – a very special group of parents contacted us. These parents asked us to dedicate a mile to honor their children -their angels who have already finished their race. The goal – to celebrate these children and to raise funds for pediatric hospice and palliative care at our hospital.

I ask you to listen to some of their stories and to consider supporting this wonderful group and their mile. On Marathon day, mile #12 – the angel mile – will be one to remember. White feather banners will line the streets and the Angel Mile families will be on hand to honor their children and cheer on the runners. We are seeking area gospel choirs to lift their voices along this very special mile of the race route. If you have a gospel group and are interested in being part of the Angel Mile please contact me donna.teach@nationwidechildrens.org for more details

We invite you to learn more and join The Angel Mile
