Inspiration, Hope & Optimism came knocking on our door.

Inspiration. It’s a word that can be used too often in our society. I know we here at Nationwide Children’s use it a lot because we truly find inspiration is the ordinary. Our kids who are here long-term look for it every single day, and we feel compelled to find new ways to bring it to them. So when we heard Kyle Maynard, who was born without arms and legs, was going to be in town, for the 10TV Health & Fitness Expo, we were thrilled to also learn that our friends at WBNS invited him to visit the hospital too. Kyle was born March 24, 1986 with a condition known as congenital amputation. But he never let it affect his life. If anything he embraced it and has gone on to do things most of us never dreamed about doing. His message of hope and optimism is one that each and every one of us can relate to. I hope you find it inspiring as we did! Thank you Kyle for giving us your time.
