Behind the scenes of the new hospital – How to amaze a five-year old?

The new hospital is full of so many wows but as we know it’s the little things that matter. That’s why, if you have a little one at home you HAVE to show them this video!

These are the animations that greet visitors coming into the hospital from our new parking garage. They’re not in some grand space. They’re projected on a wall at the end of the entryway tunnel that connects our underground parking garage to the lower-level elevator lobby. But they’re perfect to catch a little ones attention – to engage and to delight. I found myself standing there just to see what the animal friends would do next. This little magical moment was created by the local motion and design studio, leftchannel .

I love these images because they’re so darn cute (and make me smile every time I watch them) but this is another perfect example of all the thought that went into helping our patients and families have the best possible experience – even before they get on an elevator to enter the building! If you’re visiting our hospital –let me know about the little things that mattered to you and I’ll pass them along.

Good job, the world coming in can see happiness, and enjoy the moments while transitioning to whatever procedures they are coming to Children’s for, and, think outside the particular circumstances they are facing, while waiting. I am still housed in the “original” Hospital, but did take the tour and enjoyed it. Be well, Donna.

    Thank you.
